General Electric’s AF-60 LP Micro Drive is an AC drive built for variable frequency applications requiring macro performance from a micro drive. Optimized for out-of-the-box small motor control, the AF-60 LP is ideal for fans, pumps, mixers, conveyors, material handling and a wide variety of other industrial machinery applications.
The AF-60 LP drive in available in three classes:
- 230 VAC single-phase, rated for 0.25 through 3 horsepower
- 230 VAC three-phase, rated for 0.33 through 5 horsepower
- 460 VAC three-phase, rated for 0.5 through 30 horsepower
Right out of the box, the AF-60 LP offers built-in simplicity to speed up installation and setup. The wiring diagram and template is printed on the box, and a Quick Guide is packed into the box. In most cases, start-up can be completed in less that 5 minutes.
The drive includes several self protecting features, able to withstand 150 percent current overload for up to 1 minute. A flying start feature can catch a spinning motor, and the drive offers precise stop capabilities. An electronic thermal overload feature further protects the drive from harm.
The included keypad is hot pluggable, allowing users to copy settings from one drive and apply them to others. An illuminated LCD display provides clear diagnostic information at a glance, including parameters and their values, unit indications, rotation direction and setup prompts.
The quick menu provides easy access to all basic settings and controller, and a potentiometer is included for precise refinements.
Robust IP20 housing protects the drive and allows side-by-side mounting with no de-rating. Conformal coated circuit boards and high quality capacitors maximize uptime, and intelligent heat management leads to a long life. This built-in durability ensure a drive that is RoHS and WEEE compliant, with CE, UL, cUL and C-Tick certifications.
Optional accessories include an IP21/NEMA 1 kit, a remote mounting kit for the keypad, replacement keypads, a DIN rail mounting kit for drives rated for 3 horsepower and below, and a de-coupling plate kit for EMC applications.
