Resetting an ABB ACH550 drive to factory default settings is a simple process which only requires a few quick steps to complete. When troubleshooting your drive, it can be helpful to do a factory reset as one of your initial troubleshooting steps if your drive is not performing as expected.
To begin, press the menu button from the main menu screen to open the options menu. From here, use the up and down arrow keys to scroll to the parameters option, and then press the enter key to open it.
Use the up and down keys to navigate to parameter 9902, which is the HVAC default macro parameter. From here, press the edit key to open the settings for this parameter and set it to option 1, confirm it with the save button, and the drive will then reset to the initial factory default configuration, giving you a clean slate to configure the drive again.
From here, you can either choose to run the startup assistant again to do an initial setup just like you likely did when you first configured the drive, or you can run through and configure the parameters manually to your exact specifications.
