Red Lion’s N-Tron Series 1000 Ethernet Switch is a high performance, unmanaged industrial Gigabit Ethernet switch designed for networking applications across industries like oil and gas, wastewater, utility, transportation, and mining. The 1000 series is optimized to meet and exceed the most demanding industrial communication requirements while providing high throughput and minimum downtime.

1000-class Ethernet switches share many features with 300-class switches, with the main differences being: ports available, MAC address support, and support for Gigabit network application requirements.

Port configurations vary from 3 to 8 total ports. Models vary further with some combination of 10/100/1000BaseTX RJ-25 ports and SFP (Small Form-Factor Pluggable) copper and fiber ports for maximum deployment flexibility.

10/100/1000 ports are full/half duplex capable, using state-of-the-art Ethernet switching technology. Units can auto-negotiate the speed and flow control capabilities of TX port connections, configuring automatically. With this auto-sensing feature, there is no need to make wiring changes if connected equipment is upgraded. The switching technology automatically scales up or down to match specific network environments. A maximum throughput of 16Gbps is achievable with a Red Lion 1000-class switch.

1000-class switches are ideal for mission-critical data acquisition, security surveillance, control and Ethernet I/O applications. Units offer excellent EMI protection, full wire speed communications, jumbo frame support (on select models) and Store-and-Forward switching technology.

The rugged, IP30 enclosures and extended operating environmental specifications ensure each switch can persist in the harsh industrial environment.
